Getting started - Admin Portal - Courses tab (Viewing, scheduling and adding students)

The ‘Courses’ tab in the Admin Portal allows you to :
  1. View the courses that you have scheduled to run
  2. View the Student/Instructor sessions attached to those courses and the course code and set a course password
  3. Amend the details of the courses scheduled including amending the date, adding and removing students and instructors
Viewing the courses

Click on the ‘Courses’ tab

Viewing the course information

Click on the ‘Green eye’ adjacent to the course that you want to view

This screen contains all of the information that you need about the course.

Code - eg 6ZDYL - this is the unique system generated code that you will need for the students to log into the course.
Start & End - We suggest that you set the course start time to an hour or two prior to the course start time. This allows you to logon as the student and check there are no issues with their sessions.
Warning
REMEMBER You must log off cleanly else you are using course hours. Also it’s important to cleanly log off to prevent locking a session.
Student credits - you will need credits to allocate to student sessions and to allocate a session to an instructor. These are ‘purchased’ outside the Admin Portal.
Student list - here you allocate credits to student sessions according to how many students that you have on the course. If you are allocating a credit to an Instructor to facilitate their teaching you do it here else you could alternatively use the school or instructors session hours for them to teach with.
Course password - you need to set up a password for the course. For simplicity we suggest something simple like ‘abctraining2025’. The course code and that password only work on the day of the course so there is no risk using a simple password.

Removing a student from a course

If a student cancels their course and you have set up their session then ahead of the course starting you can remove their session and the credit will be returned to your available credits.

To do this - alongside the student number in the student list click the ‘Bin’.

If the student doesn’t turn up on the day and you have already logged onto the session to test their access then i) Log out cleanly and don’t use that session again during the day ii) Contact us and we will credit that session back to you. Please note though that we will need to review activity against that session ID before returning the credit to you so that make take a few days.
